Le 17 novembre 1955, Marilyn Monroe participe à la "1955 Thanksgiving week March of Muscular Dystrophy" à New York, afin de lutter contre les maladies de la dystrophie musculaire, dont est atteint Donald Thompson, un jeune garçon de 12 ans qui pose au côté de Marilyn. C'est Jack Bostrick, de Forth Worth au Texas et président de l'association internationale des pompiers, qui organise la manifestation. Marilyn remet un chèque de don au jeune Donald.
November 17, 1955, Marilyn Monroe tooks part at the "1955 Thanksgiving week March of Muscular Dystrophy" in New York, in order to fight against the diseases of muscular dystrophy, from which Donald Thompson -a young boy of 12 years- suffers and poses alongside of Marilyn. Jack Bostrick, from Forth Worth, Texas, and president of the International Association of Fire Fighters, is spearheading the drive. Marilyn gives a donation check to young Donald.
