Lot 472 COMPLETE SET OF BOUND PLAYBOY MAGAZINES
A collection of every issue of Playboy magazine, from 1953 to 2014, bound in 142 chocolate- or caramel-colored volumes with gilt-stamped spines. Included in the set is the entire run of the Playboy Club magazine VIP (1964-1975); the entire run of SBI: Show Business Illustrated (1961-1962); and 11 unbound versions of Playboy magazine with rare alternate covers. These volumes were designed for in-house use only by founder Hugh Hefner and Playboy Enterprises.

Lot 475 HUGH HEFNER SIGNED LIMITED EDITION BOOKS
A limited edition, seven-volume set of Hugh Hefner's Playboy (Germany, Taschen, 2009) numbered 407 of 1,500 copies and includes a piece from Hefner's personally worn silk pajamas. Housed in an acrylic slipcase and includes original Playboy shipping box.

A group of four Marilyn Monroe pin-up magazines: a 1953 Maco Magazine Corporation publication titled Marilyn Monroe Pin-ups, 28 pages; a 1955 Dell publication titled Modern Screen Pin-Ups with Monroe on the cover and includes pin-up photographs from a number of other actresses, among them Elizabeth Taylor, Ava Gardner, Rita Hayworth and Mamie Van Doren, 32 pages; a 1953 Three-D publication titled 3 - D Star Pin-Ups featuring Monroe on the cover as the centerfold image, accompanied by paper 3-D glasses and with other actresses in the magazine, including Elizabeth Taylor, Esther Williams, Jane Russell, and Mamie Van Doren, among others, 36 pages; and a 1953 Hillman publication titled Cheesecake An American Phenomenon with Monroe on the cover, 112 pages.

Lot 494 PLAYBOY MAGAZINE FIRST ISSUE SIGNED BY HUGH HEFNER
An original first issue of Playboy magazine (HMH Publishing, 1953) featuring Marilyn Monroe on the cover and signed by Hugh Hefner. The magazine, which launched in December 1953, sold for 50 cents a copy. Housed in a framed display with an image of Monroe taken by Tom Kelley that appears in the magazine and is commonly titled "Golden Dreams." Not examined outside of frame.

Lot 516 MOVIE STAR 'WORLD SERIES' 1949 BASEBALL SCORECARD
A scorecard from the 1949 Movie Star World Series where Marilyn Monroe acted as a bat girl at Wrigley Field. To one side the card reads “Triple Header/ Official Score Card/ Movie Stars/ Prep All-Stars/ Old Timers/ July 9, 1949/ Wrigley Field/ Sponsored by/ Chicago Herald-American.” The scorecard lists the film stars, “Old Timers” baseball players and the prep school players who participated. Accompanied by a framed display with a “Working Press” ticket to the event and an article that appeared in the Boston Evening American with a photograph of Monroe at the event.

Lot 521 MARILYN MONROE CAST HAND AND FOOT PRINTS
A metal cast of Marilyn Monroe's hand and foot prints from Grauman's Chinese Theatre in Hollywood. Monroe and Gentlemen Prefer Blondes (20th Century, 1953) co-star Jane Russell immortalized their hand and foot prints on June 26, 1953. A mold was taken of Monroe's hand and foot prints as part of a 1970s project to create a work of art for sale that did not reach fruition.
