A scrapbook filled with a handful of newspaper clippings that relate to Marilyn's onetime gofer, Peter Leonardi, who was hired by her company, Marilyn Monroe Productions, Inc., to assistant her while in NYC; the cover has a title hand-painted in white lettering which reads "Marilyn / & / Peter," and inside are about 15 articles from various publications, dated from 1955 to 1957, that Leonardi saved, outlining his short association with the star which ended on a bad note.

All are candids either alone or with cast and crew members, and (5) depict Monroe in camisole lingerie worn in numerous scenes throughout the film. Also depicted is her ankle injury incurred during filming. All have shifted toward pink due to ephemeral nature of the film stock, though this is easily corrected for printing. art - Marilyn par Jon Whitcomb

mag_playboy_1980_january_MarilynMystery_01_100En janvier 1980, le magazine Playboy avait lancé un appel pour retrouver le photographe des clichés de Marilyn portant différents chapeaux (> article ci-contre). Un certain Jon Whitcomb, illustrateur pour des magazines féminins aux USA dans les années 1950 et 1960, avait répondu à la requête en précisant que pour l'édition du magazine American Weekly du 6 avril 1958, on lui demanda de peindre six dames portant des chapeaux, à partir de photographies de Carl Perutz (> voir la séance photos).
