Lot 346: MARILYN MONROE OWNED RIVER OF NO RETURN JEANS
A pair of blue jeans owned by Marilyn Monroe and purchased by Tommy Hilfiger in the Christie’s 1999 The Personal Property of Marilyn Monroe auction. The zip-fly jeans with a single button stamped Foremost JCP Co. and two cross-stitched back pockets were originally from the wardrobe department of River of No Return (20th Century, 1954). A bias label inscribed “1-68-1-0435 Helen Thurston A- 713” is present. The original Christie’s lot included three pairs of jeans; Hilfiger gifted one pair to Britney Spears and another to Naomi Campbell.

Lot 1 : MARILYN MONROE IDENTIFICATION CARD SIGNED "NORMA JEAN DiMAGGIO"  
 A Marilyn Monroe signed United States Department of Defense Noncombatant’s Certificate of Identity. The card is signed “Norma Jean DiMaggio” and countersigned by the issuing officer. It is additionally marked “Void.” Monroe’s fingerprints are stamped on the back of the card, but no other information has been entered. It is well known that Monroe was issued an official Department of Defense identification card dated February 8, 1954, with a card serial number of 129278. This card’s serial number is 129279. The same issuing officer signed this card as well as Monroe's official ID card. Monroe visited Korea to entertain the troops while on her honeymoon with Joe DiMaggio in February 1954.

Lot 12: BUS STOP PHOTOGRAPH ARCHIVE  
 An archive of continuity and publicity photographs for the film Bus Stop (20th Century, 1956). The collection includes approximately 100 publicity photographs stamped on verso by the Advertising Code Administration. Twelve of these photographs have been additionally stamped "Retouch as Indicated" in red ink, and the surface of the photo has been drawn on where censors indicated to make Marilyn Monroe's wardrobe less revealing in the photographs. Nineteen small black and white prints are also stamped by the Advertising Code Administration of Hollywood. Three black and white small prints are stamped "Marilyn Monroe Productions Approved by _______" on verso. Also, 19 black and white snapshots taken on and off the set; 16 black and white publicity images; two wardrobe shots with the transparencies of Don Murray; a small number of other photographs for unknown use; and nine color publicity clips that would have been sent to newspapers and magazines for promotion of the film.
