"Dame Edith Sitwell" était une poétesse et essayiste britannique;
Pendant qu'Edith Sitwell séjourne une dizaine de jours à Hollywood en 1953, le magazine Life arrange une rencontre avec Marilyn Monroe; elles s'entendent si bien qu'elles restent en contact et se revoient notamment à deux reprises: quand Marilyn part en Angleterre en 1956 pour tourner "Le Prince et la Danseuse" et lors d'un voyage de Sitwell à New York, elles déjeuneront ensemble avec Arthur Miller.

"Dame Edith Sitwell" was a British poet and critic;
While Edith Sitwell stayed ten days in Hollywood in 1953, Life magazine arranged a meeting with Marilyn Monroe; they get along so well that they keep in touch and see each other again on two occasions: when Marilyn left for England in 1956 to film "The Prince and the Showgirl" and during Sitwell's trip to New York, they had lunch together with Arthur Miller.
