A violet silk faille hat worn by Betty Grable in How to Marry a Millionaire (20th Century, 1953). The hat has a bow to back, piping and artificial horsehair to interior. A bias label reads "1-39-1-4694 Betty Grable A703-47." Costume design by Travilla. Travilla received an Oscar nomination for outstanding achievement in Color Costume Design for his work on this film. Accompanied by a copy of the film.

The double-handled bell-shaped loving cup trophy is stamped on the bottom “Sterling 9553 6 IN Black Starr & Gorham.” Accompanied by original Christie’s receipt.

Le 30 juin 1953, Marilyn Monroe a l'honneur de recevoir le premier numéro du magazine Look des mains du directeur de la publication, Stanley Gordon, qui publie en couverture les trois actrices du film Comment épouser un millionnaire avec Marilyn Monroe, Lauren Bacall et Betty Grable. La photographie de couverture a été prise par Earl Theisen. Le magazine sort dans les kiosques américains le 30 juin 1953.
Marilyn porte une des robes du film.
In June 30, 1953, Marilyn Monroe is honored to receive the first issue of "Look" magazine from the hands of the publication director, Stanley Gordon, who publishes on cover the three actresses of the movie 'How to Marry a Millionaire' with Marilyn Monroe, Lauren Bacall and Betty Grable. The cover photograph was taken by Earl Theisen. The magazine comes out in U.S. newsstands in June 30, 1953. Marilyn wears a dresses from the film.

Le 26 janvier 1956, Marilyn Monroe reçoit à New York un certificat décerné par "The Women's Division of the Federation of Jewish Philantropies" en reconnaissance de sa capacité à divertir des millions d'Américains par son talent, sa personnalité lumineuse, son cœur ouvert et son esprit généreux. Marilyn a choisi de se convertir au judaïsme à l'approche de son mariage avec Arthur Miller. Ce jour là, Orson Welles et Victor Borge (comédien et pianiste) étaient présents, recevant aussi leurs certificats.  
On January 26th, 1956, in New York, Marilyn Monroe receives a certificate given by "The Women's Division of the Federation of Jewish Philantropies" in recognition of her ability to enjoy the millions of Americans through her talent, her bright personality, her open heart and generous spirit. Marilyn chooses judaism just before her marriage with Arthur Miller. On that day, Orson Welles and Victor Borge (a comedian and pianist) are there, after being also converted.

C'est le régiment de la 25ème Marine Division qui lui remet le certificat.
In February 17, 1954, Marilyn Monroe receives the prize of "Honorary member of the 25th Division" during her four-day song tour in South Korea, where she performed on stage to boost the morale of U.S. troops stationed there. This is the regiment of the 25th Marine Division who gives her the certificate.

Marilyn cuts the big cake with the inscription "Welcome Marilyn Monroe" and a painting is given to her with the head of an Indian and containing the list of guests at the party; an officer pins her a badge on her left shoulder.

Cette série de photographies sera diffusée dans la presse qu'à partir de 1950: Marilyn et d'autres starlettes se rendent en juillet 1950 à une base américaine des US Marines pour booster les troupes en partance pour la guerre en Corée. Marilyn sera surnommée et élue "Miss Morale of the Marine Corps" en juillet 1950 et c'est donc pour annoncer ce titre de Miss que la presse de 1950 accompagne leur publication de ces photographies prises en 1947.

This series of photographs will be diffused in the press only from 1950: Marilyn and other starlets go in July 1950 to an American base of the US Marines to boost the troops leaving for the war in Korea. Marilyn will be nicknamed and elected "Miss Morale of the Marine Corps" in July 1950 and it is therefore to announce this title of Miss that the press of 1950 accompanies their publication of these photographs taken in 1947.
