Il s'agit de la première publication complète des photographies de Marilyn Monroe prises par Bert Stern en juin 1962. Ce n'est pas le premier magazine qui publie ces photos (Vogue et Paris Match en avaient publié quelques-unes juste après le décès de Marilyn); mais c'est la première fois qu'autant de photographies de cette séance sont réunies dans la revue américaine Eros, d'automne 1962, volume 1, numéro 3; contient 96 pages.
