Emma de Caunes sera Marilyn Monroe à Avignon

EmmadeCaunesEmma de Caunes prêtera ses traits à Marilyn Monroe au Festival d'Avignon du 7 au 29 juillet 2009. La comédienne sera à l'affiche de «L'Amour de l'art», la dernière pièce de l'écrivain et réalisateur Diastème proposée au Théâtre du Chêne noir, avec Frédéric Andrau, Jeanne Rosa et Bertrand Combe.

Scarlett Johansson qui est la plus citée, suivie de Charlize Théron;
Michelle Pfeiffer et Madonna ne sont pas de mauvaises idées, mais je pense personnellement qu'elles ont passées l'âge pour se mettre dans la peau de Marilyn, qui, ne l'oublions pas, est morte à l'âge de 36 ans;
Quand aux autres noms soumis, on se demande ce qui se passe par la tête des sondés:
Eva Mendes, Ophélie Winter, Dita Von Teese, Juliette Binoche et Anne Hataway ... ?!

Mon vote, j'ai proposé Scarlett Johansson avec cette justification:
Elle semble être l'actrice actuelle qui pourrait au mieux se mettre dans la peau de Marilyn: de par son physique (sa stature, sa taille, ses formes), et elle est tout de même une actrice avec beaucoup de talent, je pense qu'elle en serait capable !
Charlize Théron est une bonne proposition, mais elle est trop grande ;
Madonna et Michelle Pfeiffer sont de bonnes idées aussi, mais il est à mon avis trop 'tard'', elles sont trop âgées (Marilyn est morte à 36 ans) !

Monroe was still married to her first husband when she met De Dienes and was still called Norma Jean. He took her on a trip from the mountains of California to the deserts of Arizona, moving from photographer and subject to fiancés in the course of the long journey.

Much has been written about the tumultuous production of the film and its legacy as the final film for both Monroe and Gable. Monroe and Miller divorced shortly after production was complete. A bound collection of more than 30 mimeographed half pages containing Monroe's dialogue for the film The Misfits (United Artists, 1961). Many of the pages feature annotations in pencil in Monroe's handwriting. The green paper cover is affixed with a label that reads "Marilyn Monroe Miller." Monroe has drawn lines through some of the dialogue and among her annotations are the following: "Stretch like a cat / see painted / follow him like kitten" and "we've had a wonderful night / and things have been easy for us - / shield eyes looking up bright to see / is the plane coming in / listening - for it." On the back inside cover are the words "Nothing is coming / but at least I can / make the (an) effort" and "My thought are any place / I Marilyn (possibly Rosilyn [sic]) wants / to put them." The receipt is dated “3/22” and lists the purchase of “3 Pencils” for a total of $3.42. Items listed include, pork chops, multiple steaks, milk, margarine, endive, artichokes, cucumber, eggs, chicken, and jam. The store was about six blocks from Monroe’s New York apartment. Le piano blanc de Marilyn

Ce piano fut un cadeau de Gladys, la mère de Marilyn, qui le lui avait offert lorsqu'elles vivaient ensemble, quand Marilyn était enfant. Puis la mère et la fille furent séparées, Marilyn alla vivre dans des familles d'acceuil. Lorsqu'elle devint la star que l'on connaît, Marilyn chercha par tous les moyens à retrouver ce piano. Elle le racheta et le garda toute sa vie.

En 1999, le piano fut mis aux enchère à la célèbre vente organisée par la maison Christie's (le Lot 21). Estimé entre 10.000 et 15.000 $, il fut finalement vendu pour la somme de 662,500 $ ! L'acheteuse n'est pas une simple anonyme: il s'agit de la chanteuse Mariah Carey, qui est fan de Marilyn.

mm_white_piano_mariah_careyD'ailleurs, lors de l'émission télé MTV Cribs, diffusée sur la chaîne MTV aux débuts des années 2000 et qui dévoilait l'intimité des stars à travers leur résidence, on y découvrait le fameux piano blanc dans l'(immense) appartement new-yorkais de Miss Carey, trônant dans son living-room, entièrement décoré de blanc.

En outre, voici un extrait de l'interview de Mariah Carey du magazine Playboy de mars 2007:
Playboy Vous avez acheté le piano d’enfance de Marilyn Monroe pour plus de 600 000 dollars. Qu’est-ce qui faisait que vous le vouliez ?
Carey : J’ai dû me battre pour l’avoir. C’était assez sympa. Je n’avais jamais fait d’enchère pour quoi que ce soit avant. Mon décorateur, qui est  mondialement connu était au téléphone, à me demander à combien je voulais monter, et je n’arrêtais pas de lui dire, « Il me faut ce piano ! » Ce piano est symbolique. Dans l’autobiographie de Marilyn, il y a un chapitre intitulé « How I Rescued a White Piano. » [comment j’ai sauvé un piano blanc] C’était la seule chose qui lui restait de son enfance. Je sais que c’était cher, mais c’était important pour moi. J’ai une volonté : s’il devait m’arriver quelque chose, le piano ira dans un musée, ce qui est l’endroit où je pense qu’il aurait dû aller en premier lieu.

Le transformiste Jimmy James

Il est un célèbre transformiste américain, se produisant sur scène en interprétant de célèbres chanteuses, autant classiques que contemporaines, telles que Marilyn Monroe ou encore Billie Holiday. Considéré comme un artiste drag-queen, chanteur, acteur et transformiste, il est connu pour ses imitations parfaites, autant vocalement que physiquement, d'un large panel de célébrités, se produisant sur des scènes de cabarets ou même faisant des apparitions à la télévision américaine. Il a en outre enregistré plusieurs albums.
