Une femme divorcée partage son existence entre un ancien aviateur et un cow-boy taciturne qui l'entraînent dans une chasse aux chevaux sauvages.

Venue à Reno en compagnie d'Isabelle, son témoin, pour régler son divorce, la jeune, belle mais malheureuse Roslyn fait la connaissance de Guido, un ancien aviateur, et de Gay, un cow-boy indépendant. Ensemble, ils vont fêter le divorce de Roslyn. Une idylle naît bientôt entre la jeune femme et Gay. Le couple s'installe pour quelque temps dans la maison inachevée de Guido. Chasseurs de chevaux sauvages à leurs heures perdues, Guido et Gay décident d'organiser une capture. En chemin, ils rencontrent Perce, ancien champion de rodéo, qui décide de les accompagner. La nuit qui précède la chasse donne l'occasion à chacun de dévoiler son vrai visage...

Gemma Aterton: Oui, en fait, tout dépend du rôle. Par exemple, la semaine dernière, j'ai joué Marilyn Monroe dans un téléfilm, une comédie. Il y avait une scène dans laquelle je devais pleurer et je n'y arrivais pas, parce que c'était une comédie. J'étais dans la folie tout le temps.
