Le 27 juillet 1956, Marilyn Monroe et Arthur Miller sont les invités d'honneur du bal que donne Terence Rattigan (dramaturge et scénariste britannique, auteur de la pièce du 'Prince et la Danseuse'), à Little Court, sa maison de campagne dans le Surrey. Parmi les invités, qui arrivent à 21 heures, figurent Sir John Gielgud, Douglas Fairbanks Junior, Lady Diana Cooper, Dame Sybil Thorndike (qui joue dans «  The Prince and the Showgirl ») et Sir Lewis Casson, Dame Margot Fonteyn, Dame Peggy Ashcroft, Dame Edith Evans, Tyrone Power ainsi que Louella Parsons, venue spécialement des Etats-Unis; mais aussi des Ducs, Duchesses et Chevaliers et l'ambassadeur des Etats-Unis. Marilyn et Arthur arrivent à 23 heures pour partir aux alentours de 4 heures du matin.
Lors de la soirée, Marilyn et Arthur Miller danseront ensemble sur un air de Gershwin "Embracable You".

On July 27, 1956, Marilyn Monroe and Arthur Miller are the special guests to the Bal that gives Terence Rattigan (British author of the play "The Sleeping Prince") at Little Court, his home located in the Surrey (England). The other guests arrive at 9pm: Sir John Gielgud, Douglas Fairbanks Junior, Lady Diana Cooper, Dame Sybil Thorndike (who plays a part in "The Prince and the Showgirl") and Sir Lewis Casson, Dame Margot Fonteyn, Dame Peggy Ashcroft, Dame Edith Evans, Tyrone Power and Louella Parsons, invited from the US. But also Dukes, Duchesses, Knights and the Ambassador of the US. Marilyn and Arthur arrive at 11pm and leave the party at 4am. During the party, Marilyn and Arthur dance together on the Gershwin song 'Embracable You'.
