Il semble qu'il s'agissait d'un maillot de bain plutôt populaire à la vue du nombre d'encart publicitaire présentant la tenue dans les journaux locaux.
This swimsuit - nicknamed "The Swish" - was on sale in various shops in the United States; some newspapers published advertisements in 1947 and 1948. It was a swimsuit from Marilyn's personal wardrobe who had bought it (it was sold at the price of 16.95 Dollars). It seems that it was a rather popular swimsuit from the number of advertising inserts featuring the outfit in local newspapers.
