In June 29, 1955, the "Signorina Eugenia Inc." store, located at 400 Park Avenue in New York, sends an invoice to Marilyn Monroe, at Waldorf-Astoria Hotel, for an order of shoes for an amount of $39.14. They send especially Ferragamo shoes.
Milton H Greene procède au réglement de cette facture le 14 juillet 1955 par chèque au nom de la société des Marilyn Monroe Productions.

Marilyn Monroe prend un taxi à New York - fin août 1955; elle assiste à la pièce "The Skin Of Our Teeth" à l'ANTA Theatre de Broadway. Vingt-deux représentations ont lieu du 17 août au 03 septembre 1955. Parmi les acteurs sur scène: George Abbott, Helen Hayes, Mary Martin, Florence Reed, Heller Halliday et aussi Don Murray (qui sera le partenaire de Marilyn à l'écran dans "Arrêt d'Autobus" l'année suivante; c'est d'ailleurs en voyant cette pièce que le réalisateur Joshua Logan a fait passer des essais à l'acteur pour le film).
Mise en scène par Alan Schneider, la pièce a été écrite en 1942 par Thorton Wilder (le dramaturge remportera trois prix Pulitzer). La pièce est une allégorie en trois parties sur la vie de l'humanité, centrée sur la famille Antrobus de la ville fictive d'Excelsior, New Jersey. La comédie dramatique épique est considérée comme l'une des comédies américaines classiques les plus hétérodoxes – elle a brisé presque toutes les conventions théâtrales établies.
Marilyn est photographiée par ses fans new-yorkais: James Haspiel et Frieda Hull. Elle porte une robe longue de la créatrice Ceil Chapman.
Marilyn Monroe takes a taxi cab in New York - End of August 1955; she attends the play "The Skin Of Our Teeth" at the ANTA Theater on Broadway. Twenty-two performances take place from August 17 to September 3, 1955. Among the actors on stage: George Abbott, Helen Hayes, Mary Martin, Florence Reed, Heller Halliday and also Don Murray (who will be Marilyn's partner on screen in "Bus Stop" the following year; it is besides by seeing this play that the director Joshua Logan screen-test the actor for the film).
Directed by Alan Schneider, the play was written in 1942 by Thorton Wilder (the playwright won three Pulitzer Prizes). The play is a three-part allegory about the life of mankind, centering on the Antrobus family of the fictional town of Excelsior, New Jersey. The epic comedy-drama is noted as among the most heterodox of classic American comedies — it broke nearly every established theatrical convention.

Les 30 et 31 juillet 1955, Marilyn Monroe passe le week-end dans le Connecticut chez Paul Bigelow. La presse rapporte que "Marilyn a plongé dans la piscine produisant ainsi un certain effet, mais elle reste silencieusement timide lors des discussions intellectuelles". Parmi les invités se trouve Cheryl Crawford, une actrice qui fréquente l'Actors Studio, qui discute avec Marilyn sur la notion du jeu d'acteur et lui propose de venir à l'Actors Studio.
In 1955, July, 30 and 31, Marilyn Monroe spends the week-end at Paul Bigelow's house in Connecticut. Newspapers report that "Marilyn splashed around the pool with considerable effect but maintained a shy silence during all exchanges of intellectual repartee". Among the guests is Cheryl Crawford, an actress who attended the Actors Studio, who talks with with Marilyn about the notion of acting and proposes her to come at the Actors Studio.
